“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Cor 5 v 17

As we start the New Year, we want to lean into the promise that God is able, and in the business, of making all things new. We also want to take seriously what we see in the Bible about God’s people being people of prayer. Prayer changes things: sometimes in the world, sometimes in our hearts, often both, and we want to step more fully into our identity as part of the new ‘re-creation’ work of Christ.

So we are gathering to pray over the weekend of the 25th - 26th January, and we have several opportunities and formats for prayer. We would love everyone at Venture to do at least one ‘slot’ over the weekend, or if you’re able, to set aside the whole weekend and really give the Lord space to speak to you.

Here’s the schedule:

• Saturday 8am - 10am - Gathered Together at the Fitzwilliam Centre, Beaconsfield

• Saturday 10am - 10pm - Sign up for one hour prayer slots, either individually or in small groups or pairs, in the prayer room at the Fitzwilliam Centre, Beaconsfield

• Saturday 10pm - Sunday 9am - Sign up for one hour prayer slots at home

• Sunday 9am -10am Gathered Prayer at The Beaconsfield School

• Sunday 10.30am - 12pm - Gathered Together at The Beaconsfield School (our usual service with a message on prayer)

• Sunday 7.30 - 9pm - Gathered Prayer at the Fitzwilliam Centre, Beaconsfield

We believe, as we gather to pray, God will show us something of His heart for us both individually and collectively.

Do save the date for the gathered times of prayer, and BOOK YOUR SLOT for individual/group prayer through Saturday afternoon and overnight. Please note, if you book into one of the slots at the Fitzwilliam centre, you have a choice to book the room exclusively, or leave it open in which case others may join you to pray individually at the same time.
